End of Life Care

Supporting someone who may be approaching the end of their life can be some of the most challenging work that any social care worker faces.

This course will help you to gain a better knowledge of the policy which underpins end of life care. It will help you to learn about the delivery of great end of life care and improve your communication skills to strengthen working relationships during this period. You will also feel you have a better understanding on how to support the friends and family of the person that you are caring for.

DISCLAIMER: This course will look at death, the process of dying and theories of grief in detail. These subjects may trigger emotions and feelings for some learners. If you are affected by anything whilst completing this course, please inform your manager.You can stop the course at any time and continue later where you left off.

Once you have completed the course, you will be able to take the assessment quiz. You have 5 attempts to achieve a passing grade of 80% or higher. When you pass the quiz, please complete our feedback form to complete the course.

If you fail all 5 attempts, you will be locked out of the quiz and unable to complete the course. Contact your manager to discuss resetting your progress.
